The Chasoba is a very unique species among Monsters, originally from an old forgotten age when mightyDragons roamed all over The Continent. They are a tribe of fat frog-like creatures, with a pretty decent intelligence and their own customs.
Much like Chatsumis, the Chasobas were created to serve as monsters in the world of Dragons and offer more variety in Ludo-Rathowm's world, however, they established a peaceful approach towards Dragons, probably due to the fact that they were aware they would just be slaughtered if they tried to go against them, and the peaceful Dragons were uniterested in warring other races aside from the Demon King.

Chasobas still remain in the current era 4000 years later, but they are more hostile towards humans, who they find exquisite creatures that serve for delicious meals. They often target humans for the sake of capturing them and serving them as their dinner, but they don't attack human encampments or settlements and they only do so if they just casually come across one in a remote area, typically in dungeons, caves or the like. They are also seen in underground areas with flowing water, making them feared foes for regular miners.
While they vary depending on their class, Chasobas are pretty average in strength. They have high strength and endurance, employing their huge bellies to charge at their opponents frontally. They are also pretty agile for their fat bodies, but their biggest weakness is how frontal and straightforward their fighting style is, making it easy to predict and evade.

During the events of Rance III / Rance 03, an outbreak of Chasoba at the Rekka Mines in the Free Cities created a delay when Maria Custard went looking for Hirara Ore to power her inventions, nearly capturing Milli Yorks in the process.
A pair of Chasoba trapped and attempted to eat Seed Cashima on the fourth level of Ragnard's Dungeon in Toushin Toshi II, leading to his first encounter with Craia. These two were quite intelligent, planting traps and using tools like hatchets instead of just their belly attacks.
