Doharas Happiness is the President and founder of Happiness Pharmaceutical and the creator of the universally-used healing medicine Seirogan. He lives in the main Happiness Pharmaceuticals factory building in the Free City of Ice with his young daughter Eline.During the events of Rance 4.1, he hired several mercenaries to investigate the strange monster-filled cave that had appeared beneath his factory. It was later revealed that the cave had been created by the Gal Monster rights activist group the Angel Army, who had planned to raid the building and free Wenlina, a Holy Gal Monster who was secretly being held against her will within it. Doharas was captured by the Angel Army's Rabbit Group Commander Partie Burr, who held him at knife point in an attempt to uncover Wenlina's location. As Doharas was unaware of the fact that his subordinates had kidnapped Wenlina, however, he was unable to provide them with the information they needed. He was saved by Rance, who demanded to be payed 300,000 gold extra for saving his life.
Personality and Appearance EditDoharas is a bespectacled man with a short and overweight body, plain black hair and small, beady eyes. His clothing consists of a white collared shirt under a maroon vest, blue jeans a pair of brown shoes and a pencil behind his right ear. He is almost always slightly nervous, and is prone to sweating profusely as a result.
Despite being the creator of one of the most revolutionary medicines in history and a multi-millionaire as a result, Doharas is actually an incredibly plain-looking, mild-mannered and meek man. He is apparently completely unmemorable, as Rance managed to mistake him for an aide despite being introduced to him just minutes before, and expressed complete disbelief that someone so uninteresting could be one of the most important people of his era. He is also something of a coward, and is quick to submit to the threats of others.
Despite his meekness, he is a relatively kind and pleasant man who speaks highly of all of his employees and deeply trusts every one of them. He is against using unethical methods of research to develop new products, and was completely unaware that his employee Joseph was holding the Holy Gal Monster Wenlina captive to use her healing power in drug development.
A completely ordinary man with a weak body, Doharas' physical abilities are extraordinarily low, and he lacks any fighting capability. To get around this weakness, he relies heavily on hiring bodyguards and outsourcing mercenaries to protect him and accomplish any physical labor that he himself is incapable of doing.
Doharas' true talent lies in his skill as a chemist. He is singlehandidly responsible for the creation of Seirogan, the most widely-used healing medicine on The Continent. His creation of Seirogan is responsible for causing several massive breakthroughs in the medicinal world, with all modern medicines being in some way derived from his original formula. Because of this, he is one of the most influential people in his time, and is indirectly responsible for several of humanity's most recent accomplishments, as they have all been supported by his product.
Along with his skill at drug development, Doharas is also a competent businessman, being able to effectively run the business juggernaut Happiness Pharmaceuticals without issue. Despite this, however, he has made it clear that he vastly prefers researching and developing new products over simply running the organization that funds it, and seems bored by his job as President.
He is a prime example of how a non-combatant can succeed on the Continent. Possessing a Level Cap of only 1, he has made fantastic use of both of his skills to become one of the most important men of his era.
- With a level cap of 1, he is one of the weakest characters to ever appear in the series.
