About[]

Magic is, as her name implies, a fairly solid spellcaster focusing on the lightning element. She doesn't have Shizuka's crazy 1 turn Earthquake spell, or Sill's healing and multiple elemental coverage or her father's ridiculous toughness and etc. Her HP is also horrible, even for a mage, so back her up with a healer until she reaches around level 55+ or give her awesome defenses.

She does have a decent variety of range coverage (which really isn't special since only Sill doesn't), and she's easily H-able meaning you can raise her stats that way. She'll serve your party well enough with her decent level cap, as in later levels people's attack stats go up astronomically, so expect her to completely surpass Shizuka as she nears her level cap. She still has to do with the Earthquake attack though, but otherwise the best dedicated mage you'll get in postgame omake; the only two mages who can do better than her will only join you temporarily and leave by the end of the game. Of course, if Sill hits her own level cap, she, even with her low-end spells, can rival her in offensive magic simply because of superior stats.

Upgrade Priorities:

  • Increasing SP is good, she has 6 which isn't bad, but she could do with more!
  • Her best skill is her basic attack, which seems to do a great deal more damage than what her magic stat seems to suggest.

Description

Lightning Arrow

Rance-VI-Magic-Att

Magic's basic attack. It doesn't require any turn charging, so it's completely spammable.

Deals Magical damage of the element of Lightning and is a Ranged attack.

Thunderstrike

Rance-VI-Magic-Att

Magic's stronger lightning spell.

With no turns charging, Magic hits a row of enemies for 50% Lightning Damage.

Lightning Laser

Rance-VI-Magic-Att-3

Magic's definitive lightning spell.

It requires 1 turn to charge and deals magic damage for 250% to a single enemy.

EM Field
Rance-VI-Magic-Att

Magic's alternative lightning spell.

It requires 1 turn to charge and deals magic damage for 80% to all enemies. Good initially, but becomes useless later on.

White Destruction Beam
Rance-VI-Magic-Att-2

Magic's Ultimate Spell.

It requires 2 turns to charge, but deal 400% to a column of enemies. Very powerful, but the 2 turns to charge reduces its effectiveness. Can become brutal if she gets a Magic buff before casting it.

Weapons and Items[]

The "Princess Cane" can be found in the training forest after an event (needs her to have 25 FR) where king Gandhi tell her that she's ready for her S weapon.

Recommended Items[]

  • Lightning Ball - Increases Magic Attack.
  • Ignoring Glasses -  This will help you guard against getting White Destruction Beam cancelled.
  • Fire Pendant - Cancels out her weakness to fire.
