Notably, these creatures have many physical and behavioral traits that made differentiate from most Gal Monsters, and they are closer to being like real beasts, because of the way they act and look. They are violent, hyperactive and with relatively low intelligence that makes them act almost entirely on instincts. Their skin is printed with marks similar to that of a real-life leopard, coupled with a long blue mane and a tail. They might look closer to monkeys but they are actually felines. They are carnivores and natural predators, using any means possible to catch their pray in order to get a delicious meat. They find human flesh tasteful, so it's not unusual for them to attack humans on sight. While in the past they were more numerous, their numbers have considerably decreased in current times, making them an endangered species with very few members left.
In battle, Pool Ponies rely on their speed and enhanced reflexes, using their abnormal agility to continuously assault their opponents with their claws. They usually attack several times in a quick succession hoping to slowly wear out their opponents, as they lack high physical strength to take down their victims with one clean strike. They are not quite so powerful, but troublesome and adventurers that low their guard when fighting them might find an unpleasant surprise if they underestimate the damage they can pull in their succession of attacks.
