The gullible heroine of Rance 5D returns. Rizna is a good fighter who later gains the ability to buff her allies. Rizna also has a pretty high magic resistance and after a certain (very late) optional event, becomes completely immune to magic (except for black destruction beam, which can one hit her).

She's good in melee combat and physical tanking but fighters like Rance and Patton are better. On the other hand she can buff your allies but Sanakia and Urza are better than her at that.

You can call her the Jack-of-all-trades and master of magic resistance.

How to raise her max level cap to 51: When she reaches her level cap of 49, with or without the help of Starlevel the Great, do her H event because it will raise her level cap by +2 instead of Starlevel the Great by +1. No character's max level cap can be raised from 50.

Upgrade Priorities:

  • Either concentrate on "Attack" or "Wild Dance" depending on whether you want Rizna to kill single-target or groups. Personally I prefer the latter. Each of them increase by 20% per upgrade so they're very effective..
  • Save one upgrade on "Bestow Attack" to make it affect your whole party, then if you can spare one more upgrade "Bestow Defense". It's probably not worth upgrading the magic buff as you usually won't have more than 2-3 mages in battle at a given time, and Alex Vals later on comes with that buff anyway.

Rizna's basic attack. It doesn't require any turn charging, so it's completely spammable.

It deals physical damage and has melee range.

Wild Dance

Rizna's stronger attack.

It requires 1 turn to charge, but it deals damage to the front column of enemy at 150% damage and has high accuracy rate.

Mercy Attack

A physical attack that deals 50% damage and is capped at 50% of the target's remaining HP to make sure it doesn't kill the enemy.

Designed for capturing Gal Monsters.

Bestow Defense

Increases defense by 10%.

Can be upgraded to affect all allies.

It lasts for 1 turn after the turn when defense buff is cast.

Bestow Attack

Increases attack by 30%.

Can be upgraded to affect all allies.

It lasts for 5 turns after the turn when attack buff is cast.

Bestow Magic

Increases magic by 30%.

Can be upgraded to affect all allies.

It lasts for 5 turns after the turn when magic buff is cast.

Weapons and ItemsEdit

Late in the game, Kagekatsu (an hanny) will visit Rizna and say that her S Rank weapon is hidden in Hanny town. You have to unlock the secret area by going to the three locked rooms and the unlocked room with the black hannys, and killing the event battles inside the same number of times (there is a sign outside the door if you lose track). If you do, a underground area will open up in the middle of the town and you will find a scene which will grant her the weapon. (bring 2 of each key, because if you return, you will have to start over again)

Recommended ItemsEdit

  • Scare Hare Mask - Well, she can tank decently. Especially against magic, why not?
  • Fire Pendant - Covers her weakness to fire. Alternatively you can give her the Defensive Doll to eliminate her weakness.
  • Ignorance Glass - If you plan to use "Wild Dance", you might want it if you have extra. It's probably better on someone else like Rance though, in which can you can give her the bamboo sword instead.
  • Glass Art - Her latent high magic resistance can help her tank against certain bosses that use magical attacks.

  • The effect of Rizna's Bestow Defense is lesser than the other two because defense stats reduce damage in terms of percentage, rather than a raw value. Also, Bestow Defense only lasts for 1 turn after the turn when defense buff is first casted, so it will need to be continually casted to have a constant effect on the party.
  • Even though Rizna is supposed to be completely immune to magic in the very late game, black destruction beam will still do huge amounts of damage to her.
