[edit] Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q)
- Q: How to attack enemy captains in battle?
- A:
- Just move your cursor over to the enemy captain and click attack
- If you still don't understand, SEE Sengoku Rance:Game mechanics. Check the Battle System part.
- Q: How to capture enemy captains?
- A:
- NOTE!! Remeber to save if you want to capture characters that are captains and after you have captured or else you will regret!
- Let any captain learn the passive skill Fallen Warrior Hunter (落ち武者狩り) or get one of your bushi captains to learn the Light Attack (手加減攻撃). Then when in battle, attack the enemy captain which you want to capture with the captain that has the Light Attack (手加減攻撃). Then finish off the same enemy captain with other captains that don't have the attack. Similar way with the passive skill Fallen Warrior Hunter (落ち武者狩り).
- Q: How to attack other countries?
- A:
- You need to declare war on somebody before attacking (SEE Sengoku Rance:Game mechanics). Story events will make other countries declare war on you. You can still declare war on another country after you have conquered one of countries but you can only attack the next turn.
- Q: HELP! One of my captains disppeared after she/he dies in battle.
- A:
- You might want to prevent this from happening by increasing your captain relationship to Love. Another way is to save before you go for battle.
- Q: HELP! Ogawa Kentarou keeps losing in the duel! What should I do?
- A:
- Ogawa Kentarou simply can't deal enough damage to the enemy in 4 attacks (even using special attack as the last attack). The trick is Ogawa Kentarou's support skill, a full recovery food which will recover all his health AND his moves. This allows you to deal a total of 7 hits against the enemy, which is should be enough. If you insist on trying to win in 4 attacks, give Ogawa Kentarou the "attack luck" passive skill from relationship bonus or level him up before attacking Battleship Nagato and it'll work too. Also, you can use a Book of skill 2 to increase his moves, that might help as well, and even allow his passive skill to be saved for later use.
- Q: HELP! I got Game Over because Miki turned into the Demon King!
- A:
- There are two points in the story where Miki will turn into the Demon King. The first time you need to find a dungeon located in Mikan (only available when you see an event that she's going to turn into Demon King), and get to the 6th floor (you might as well complete the dungeon to level up while you are at it).
- Another event which Miki might turned into the Demon King is when she got kidnapped and you need to search for her (green event) three times within a certain period of time.
- NOTE!! The three searches will take 20, 25, and then 30 points of exploration!
- Q: HELP! A certain command requires too much exploration points! It's impossible!
- A:
- If the command fails because you have insufficient points, the points you already put in will be deducted for next time, so even if something requires 80 exploration points, it can still be done (over many turns). You can use items to increase your unit exploration points. (SEE Sengoku Rance:Items)
- Q: HELP! An army that looks like mine but with different color suddenly appeared and attacked me many times per turn. They are too strong!
- A:
- Don't worry about it. The multiple attacks per turn for this army only happens once.
- Q: How to get Battle Permits?
- A:
- Battle Permits are acquired after turn 60 when you have at least one captain who can utilize it (have at least 1000 soldiers and is one of the five troop types that uses it). This allows a captain with 1000+ unit to conquer hostile areas with little troop loss.
- NOTE!! People with permits will take over all but the last area of a province!
- NOTE!! You will lose battle permits if captains with battle permits attempt to attack Battleship Nagato (or deeper into Shimazu/Demon Army territory). If you 're on Kenshin IF route, you won't lose battle permits even if captains with battle permits attempt to attack Battleship Nagato (or deeper into Shimazu/Demon Army territory)
- Q: How to get another Omachi ?
- A:
- On a second game prior to the 1.01 patch, if you chose the One Eyed Masamune bonus, you can get 1 more Omachi when getting Masamune to trust. This is fixed in 1.01 patch (and hence you can't character clear Masamune if you take their bonus).
- Q: Any other way to take over Takuga terrority?
- A:
- There is . If you are under attack by Takuga and have Okita Nozomi in your squad, you can get an event where you can donate to a orange Honey money so that you can take over their territory. Choose the most expensive option (maybe 3000?) and every turn an area of Takuga will be taken over. This works the same way as battle permits, and the honeys will not conquer the last remaining sub-location of a territory.
- Q: How to use Guardian Paper(守り紙様) item ?
- A:
- A captain which is equiped with the Guardian Paper item, will have a barrier in the beginning of a battle when equiped. This is very useful for bushi captains to damage the oppostion without being damaged. It can also be used on weaker units to let them survive one more turn or even a footman captain with ally/all guard so they can defend allies even more. (SEE Sengoku Rance:Items Item No.70 (Green))
