- Red - Special things for collection purposes (You have most of them by default)
- Blue - Expendable items: effects upon use include troop healing and stat-boosting.
- Green - Personal equipment: Affects the character equipping it.
- Yellow - Global equipment: Affects everyone, but needs to be equipped by somebody to take effect.
- Purple - Battle permits: Allows equipped units to attack and capture an enemy sub-location at the beginning of every end-turn phase.
- Note: Some items cannot be unequipped once worn.
[edit] Acquisition
- B - Obtained randomly from troop Battles.
- C - Obtained from Commandeering.
- D - Obtained randomly from passing through a Dungeon floor, or when retreating from dungeon. Except for Oni bones (item 5), all other drop rate are rather rare.
- DD - Obtained randomly from fully clearing a Dungeon.
- DE - Obtained from rEpeating the final floor of a cleared Dungeon. (Always receive an Oni bone from repeating cleared dungeons)
- P - Obtained from Purupet shop
- S - Obtained from Satisfication Bonus (might not be available if too many other bonus options take precedence)
- Location name - Obtained by an exploration event at the location.
- 2nd - Can be obtained as Second Game bonus if unlocked.

- All battle permits are acquired automatically at turn 61 or as Second Game bonuses.
- To successfully use permits, it counts how many troops your equipped unit currently has, not their maximum, so be sure to heal them to 1000 first.
- Permits cannot be used to take over the last area of a territory.
[edit] Purupet Shop
The Purupet shop is located in Ise, and is accessed via a purple command event (only if Ise is under your control). The Purupet does not take gold, and instead takes Oni's bones (item 5) to trade items with you. The first item will cost 5 Oni bones, and each subsequent item will cost 2 more than the previous item.
Many items in his inventory have prerequisites to appearing. All bold items require おこめ券 be purchased in order to show up in addition to any other requirements.

All blue (expendable) items have unlimited stock. Items labeled (any 6) are available after a total of any 6 items have been purchased.
NOTE: When choosing 2nd game bonus items that belong to Purupet's Shop:
- They are included in the (any 6), but only if you reach them in their respective stacks. (e.g. in a 2nd game, you take as bonuses: 頭金地蔵 and 世界のヘイホー from the 2nd stack; as soon as you buy 二枚舌三郎 you'll have achieved 3/6 items. But, if you took うさ仮面うさ, it won't count as 1 of the 6 items unless you buy all 3 of its' prerequisites)
- When you reach the spots of any items that you've chosen as 2nd game bonuses, those items are unbuyable and of course skipped. However, it also skips those item's cost-growth markers. Following the first part of the example above, this means that after you buy 二枚舌三郎, the cost of the next item will have grown by 6 instead of 2.
