[edit] Important questions

  • Should we align the english words used in this wiki with the ones we can find in Yandere's translation? Even if some people will complain about some terms, I think it's better for those who just play the Yandere's version (and there will be more and more numerous from now on).-Yukimusha
We should include the translations Yandere use and mention them on the page, including setting up redirects for various terms. However this isn't Yandere's private wiki and it might not be worth making major overhaul changes editing all occurrences of a particular term just because Yandere called it something else. -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 22:12, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Well yes, it's not their private wiki. It's just that it's easier to take one translation that is common for all those who will play it in english from now on (I don't think there will be a significative number of people who will continue to use AGTH) than take the first one that someone put in here. Plus it will be easier for those who play Yandere's version to recognize the terms. But you have a point in saying it will be major overhauls, that's why I was asking if people were ready to do it. Besides, I already saw some uses of Yandere's translation like on the Walkthrough (攻略) for Senhime. I think there will be more and more things like these.-Yukimusha
There are also three years worth of people who have played the game before Yandere translated it, who discusses and share their passion for the game, and who might not go back and replay the whole thing using the translation. And like how some anime/manga have multiple groups doing fansubs, there may also be other groups in the future doing Sengoku Rance (though I would think the probability would be small) who might translate some terms differently. All in all, I think the most important thing is to have the major variations of terms all documented, then when people get confused about "What the heck is a diviner?" or "What the heck is a Ying Yang Master?" they can look it up and find out it's just referring to Onmyouji. Speaking of which, I gotta add that redirect for Diviner... -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 23:04, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
OK, but there still is the question : how to cope up with all those who will put in Yandere's terms. Their final translation is recent so it might be for the best to know from now on what to do about all those who will try to "correct" the wiki without asking. Well, it might be easier that I think, I don't know how many people edit this wiki.-Yukimusha
Basically it boils down to "It's not worth fighting over". If someone used to Yandere terms makes a few minor edits to change one page, don't worry about it. If someone never seen Yandere terms makes a change away from Yandere's term (probably on a term where Yandere's choice of word might not be the most intuitive to those who never played using the translation), don't worry about it. But if anyone goes into an edit war with anybody else over what is the "right" term to call it, or goes into a frenzy to change a ton of pages just to "fix" the terms, step in and inform them there are other way more constructive things they can do to help improve the wiki (-: -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 00:39, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
The way I see it, translation changes like War Princess (or Thousand Princess) to Senhime (or Princess Sen) isn't about Yandere translation, but rather a policy of not translating names. For example, we didn't translate Ryouma to dragon horse or Naoi Ai to Naoi Love. -UnknownOrigin 04:37, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Random notes

  • Monkey stealing seals:
    • 30 - Takeda
    • 50 - Mori
    • 70 - Hojo
    • 90 - Uesugi
  • Turn 90 - Takuga declares independence.
  • Turn 100 - Force into battle with Uesugi even if not adjacent.

Any information on avoiding the game over caused by the pink haired girl (i believe Kentaro partner) when she transforms and causes a large explosion? thanks.

It's added to the FAQ -Afker 15:19, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

You need to get Hirami lemon to prevent that happen, but I don't know how to get it. And she will turn into demon next turn! >_< screwed.

lol that. Check Sengoku Rance:FAQ Read ( Q: HELP! I got Game Over because Miki turned into the Demon King! ) part carefully. I didn't mention you can get Hirami Lemons by entering and finishing the dungeon in Mikan mentioned in the FAQ XD. That Mikan territory belongs to Tenshiism. The dungeon will be automatically open when Miki tries to control the Demon King inside herself and after you have conquered Mikan, Also for in case, you would like to wait for a talk event whereKentaro mention to Rance that Miki requires Hirami Lemons. - Banisher

Is it just me or does the preview and and saved page look different? The charts are all screwed up after saving even if nothing is changed.

Fixed. There was some syntax issue (the table not being closed) at the end which screwed up the rest of the section. -Afker All hail AliceSoft! 20:22, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
