The Witches of the Round Table are a collective of twelve dragons who served as allies to humanity, chiefly the Kingdom of Arthur and its splinter nation, the Republic of Lancelot. They are among the few dragons who chose to live in the new world of humans after QD and King Arthur made their original peace treaty. If humans came to the Witches with a request, the Witches would deliberate and decide whether or not to grant it.
In addition to their role as advisors, the Witches also intermarried with the male descendants of the royal house of Arthur, starting with the marriage between QD and Arthur himself. Unfortunately, these dragons often receded into hiding or possibly even death after the loss of their mortal lover, and the witches receded from the public eye, seeming to disappear following the Arthur Tragedy.
